This Place (2026)

Imperial College Chamber Choir is proud to present This Place, a recording made possible through the generous support of our community. We are deeply grateful to everyone who contributed to the project and to all those involved in bringing the album to fruition, which will be officially released on June 5th.

This Place explores themes of home, love, belonging, and paradise through a varied and evocative choral programme. Inspired by Derri Lewis’ Locus iste, the album journeys from landscapes and human connection to reflections on faith, loss, and peace, bringing together traditional and contemporary works from a range of musical influences.

Alongside celebrated choral repertoire, the album highlights the choir’s own musical identity and creative community, including a new composition by student composer Pallav Bagchi, making This Place both a celebration of choral tradition and a reflection of the choir’s unique home at Imperial College London.

Perihelion (2021)

As our first release, Perihelion was recorded and produced following a fundraiser in summer 2021. We received overwhelming support in a short space of time and the project was a great success. Our deepest thanks go to all who supported the process.

Perihelion is Imperial College Chamber Choir’s debut and tenth anniversary recording, with a programme of music on the theme of “Earth, Sun and Heavens” featuring Jonathan Dove’s The Passing of the Year, a song cycle for double chorus and piano.
